Gphomestay Attends the NAIS Conference
March 7, 2014

Last week, gphomestay, The Cambridge Institute, and KnowledgeLink attended and presented at the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. The conference, which featured workshops and demonstrations pertinent to independent education, provided Cambridge with opportunities to connect with its 60+ NAIS partner schools and to support those partners as they seek to expand and improve their international student programs. Additionally, our team attended relevant workshops during which latest trends and best practices within the field of international education were reviewed.

We also shared our expertise with our peers through a widely attended exhibition. In our presentation, Peter Gangemi of Cambridge sister company KnowledgeLink collaborated with Shane Foster of the Barstow School (Kansas City, MO) and Frank Phillips of St. Mary’s School (Medford, OR) to discuss the increasing number of international partnership schools – an arrangement whereby two schools from different countries collaborate to achieve symbiotic educational goals. Both Frank and Shane discussed the successes and challenges of establishing their school’s curriculum abroad, and cited KnowledgeLink as an invaluable guide in this cutting edge initiative. The production was well-received, with a crowd of audience members staying after the presentation to speak with the three presenters.

The conference was a major success and enabled each Cambridge company to connect with current partners and hone our expertise. Cambridge is committed to ensuring that our partner schools are well-equipped to be international education leaders. Our presentation at the NAIS conference was one of many ways to demonstrate to both current and future partners that the potential for innovation in international education is vast and constantly growing.

To our NAIS partners who attended the conference, we are glad to have connected with you. For all of our other partners, we look forward to seeing you at another conference sometime soon!
